About EFOF |

The Edina Friends Of Forensics is made up of the friends and family (mostly the parents) of the students involved with EHS Forensics. The members of EFOF contribute time and/or money to help the students get the most out of the experience.
The $50 activities fee that is required when the student registers for Debate, Speech, or Student Congress goes to the school district for many uses, not specifically to the Forensics teams. While the school district provides some funds for Forensics, that money does not cover all the team's expenses. The EFOF covers these other expenses:
- Out-of-Town Tournaments
(transportation and accommodations)
- Hiring Tournament Judges
(neccessary when there are not enough volunteer judges)
- Hiring Practice Judges
(this is especially helpful to novice debaters)
- Contribute to Coaches Salaries
(this allows us to hire more coaches and have a higher coach/student ratio)
- Photocopies
(copying costs are new this year)

How to Join EFOF
|

Send a check for $125 (annual family membership fee) and the following info: Student's name(s), Parent's name(s), address, phone and email address(es). Please make check payable to Edina Friends of Forensics. Important EFOF-related announcements will be sent to your email address. Note: we will use email sparingly - we assume that if you want to see the latest info you'll check in on this website.

Volunteer to Judge, or Pay The Consequences
|

To volunteer to judge at one or more novice tournaments click on the Voluteer link on the left. If you can't spare the time to be a judge (or you're too scared) then we hope you can make a contribution of $100 so that the team can hire a judge for a tournament.

And/Or Make a Tax-Deducible Donation

You can also make a tax-deductible donation to the team by writing a check to the Edina Education Fund. Very Important! You must write "Edina Friends of Forensics" in the memo line of the check. This targets your contribution to the team.
