Depart EHS door 5 at 7AM.  Arrive at 6:55 AM. 

The bus will drop off LD at Coon Rapids first, then Andover.  It will pick up at Andover at 3:45 then head to Coon Rapids.

Public Forum students will compete using the November resolution:

Resolved: The United States should require universal background checks for all gun sales and transfer of ownership.

 Lincoln-Douglas students will compete using the November resolution (no separate novice division):

Resolved: Wealthy nations have an obligation to provide development assistance to other nations.

Congress Schedule

First Session: 8:30-11:00 (Prelims)

Second Session: 12-2:30 (Super / Consolation)

Attire 

Debate outfits mandatory.  Check the slides from the parent meeting for specifics.  Novices just need the basics. Neat, professional, and conservative.

Food

There will be food available for purchase at both sites. But it's always best to pack a lunch + snacks.  Bring a water bottle.

Debaters at Edina HS are excused at 12:45 PM, please bring your competitive attire to school.  Bus leaves Door 5 at 1 pm. We’ll return around 10:00 PM on Friday. Bus leaves Door 5 on Saturday morning at 6:45 AM. The bus will pick up debaters at Falcon Ridge at 5:30, and AV at 6:00 PM.  If debaters are in late elimination rounds in Varsity LD or want to watch those debates, they need to find their own ride home on Saturday.

Nice debate attire required, Varsity LD must dress with an eye on professionalism.

Food

“We are pleased to offer complementary meals for Friday's dinner and Saturday's lunch for the competitors and coaches. We will offer vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.  Breakfast for the coaches and judges will be complementary.

Debaters can plan on breakfast items being available for purchase at our concession stands on Saturday morning. There will be light concessions available at each building throughout the tournament.”
