Practice for the week of August 24th is again at the Edina Community Center.

Novices will practice in the 6-8PM time slot.

First Edina Talk-a-Thon Underway!

Our first Edina Speech and Debate Talk-a-Thon at the Edina Galleria is underway.  The goal is to have speakers on the mic for the entire day, speaking a total of 250,000 words during the shopping day.  Thanks to our parent boosters, alumni, and team members who made this happen. Special appreciation to the Galleria for setting us up with a beautiful venue.

Talk-a-Thon Saturday

The Edina Speech and Debate Talk-a-Thon at the Galleria happens this Saturday.  The team will keep a speaker the microphone from open-to-close.  The Galleria has worked with us to create a classy venue for this event.

2015-16 Tournament Schedule

Our tournament schedule for 2015-16 is pretty much final at this point.  [click for tournament spreadsheet]

Tournaments for novice debaters are highlighted in yellow.

The calendar does not include post-season tournaments such as NSDA Nationals, Tournament of Champions, etc.  Adding another tournament in 2nd half of the season is possible.

Most recent updates include adding novice scrimmage at Eagan and date change for Iowa Caucus at Cedar Rapids Washington.

Registration Open

Beat the rush!

Register to join the 2015-16 Edina debate team. 

Any questions about the registration process should be directed to Mr. Joe Burger in the Activities Office.  Any questions about the debate team, contact head coach Andy Charrier. 

First practice is Monday, August 17th 6PM in room 351 of the Edina Community Center.  Debaters need to have completed the registration process in order to attend practice.

All-team all-parent meeting will be Wednesday, September 9th 6:30 PM at EHS Fick Auditorium.
