Judges Needed for Coon Rapids

As a former debater, The Chief wants you to judge!

We are short a bunch of judges for Coon Rapids this weekend.  Any help with judging or finding judges would be appreciated -- we're to the point where we have leave kids home if we can't find enough judges, so it's serious.  Tournament is 5 debates and should be efficient as well.

Depart EHS door 7 at 7AM
Return  5:30PM (estimate)

Food
Tournament will have pizza.  You should for sure pack something to eat during the long day as well because pizza alone isn't going to be enough.

Leadership
Uma is in charge of taking the team to a room and getting them warmed up and ready.

Format
Tournament is 5 rounds plus a final.
You are expected to watch finals - if we have an Edina debater in finals, you should watch that person/team.  If not, you need to watch the varsity final for you kind of debate.
** Reminder: When watching finals you are required to flow the debate and give full professional attention to the debater who are competing.  No whispering between speeches during prep, note passing, or texting.

11-12PM arrive at Edina HS

At all times the team remains together at the same location.

We have a giant debate team, but to provide opportunities for everybody to debate, we also need judges to cover our entry.  Every judge we find means 2 or 4 more debaters can compete.
