Tournament Info

PF and LD—these rounds are FLIGHTED.

Friday December 1st
Round #1 – 3:15
Round #2 – 5:15
Round #3 – 7:30

Every LD and PF debater should eat during the round #2 flight they are not debating during in order to keep us on schedule.
Tab will make every attempt to give judges either round #2 or #3 off so that they may eat during that time period. We will clear all 3-2 LD and PF debate entries – My guess is that if Triples is needed in any of the LD or PD divisions that this will be a partial triples. All debaters advancing to Triples but not beyond that round will be awarded a certificate. All elimination round participants beyond that will be awarded a plaque signifying their accomplishments.

Saturday December 2nd
Round #4 – 8:00 AM
Round #5 – 10:30 AM
Triple Octas – 1:00 PM
Double Octas – 2:30 PM
Awards – 3:30 PM

OTHER TOURNAMENT INFO:

-      There should be no food in the competition rooms, water and soda is allowed.
-      Students should not enter any rooms without the judge being present. If you are found in any room by a tournament official without a judge in the room you will forfeit your round.
-      Please treat all of our spaces with respect and do not play with, wreck, harm or destroy anything. First offense will result in a loss with zero points; second offense will result in disqualification from the tournament.

Student Judging
Senior varsity debaters (this means students who are in 12th grade) will be allowed to serve as a school’s novice division judges but only on the condition that the primary judge for each school is their head coach. When entering judges, please indicate in the notes section if they are senior students so the tournament can schedule them in the correct divisions. No more than 1/2 of your team's judges in any given novice format may be current seniors in high school. This requirement helps us to be able to schedule elimination round judges.  All judges are required to stay through the first full elimination round of competition after their competitors are eliminated.

Here is the list of student judges, they are obligated for rounds 1 and 2 on Friday, and 4 + 5 + elimination rounds on Saturday.

-      Richard Zhu (PF)
-      James Kuznecoff (PF)
-      Tanner Jones (PF)
-      Anand Mittal (LD)
-      Khalid Ishani (PF)
-      Zelda Kieser (Policy)
